Have A say In Your Government

In 2007 congress may have set a record for the lowest congressional approval rating in history. The congressional Democratic approval rating approached single digits, but the public voted that entire Democratic congress back in, and even elected more Democrats to support them.

Why should they listen to us if they will be re-elected whether the public approves of their performance or not? Since the election, congress has embarked on it's agenda of change. A lot of people have found their vision of change to be pretty scary.

Restoring The Voice Of The People

So what can we as citizens and voters do to bring this run away government back under our control? It will do no good to protest. We can not vote them out because the only congressional candidates we have to choose from are the candidates supplied by the two parties now in power. So the new guy we elect has come from the same barrel as the old guy we were trying to get rid of.

All political power in this country is wielded by the two parties now in power. They have the organization and the financing to buy the advertising required to influence voters. Our election process as it exists, has become far to costly for the average citizen to be elected to national office. Elections are just big productions staged by these two parties to influence voters. Anything can and will be promised to get votes.

The only answer is a political organization to compete with these two parties. One that we citizens control. That organization was established 37 years ago by far sighted citizens, who have worked diligently over the years to gain ballot access in all of the states. The Libertarian party has ballot access in all of the states but 3. It is ready to jump in the fray and defend our rights by electing a few good men to the U.S. Congress. All that is required for success is enough party members to elect our candidates.

Libertarian Congressional Candidates For Freedom

The other two parties will tell you that if you vote for Libertarians this party, or that party will win. That is false. Our party attracts people who are Democrats, and Republicans. We think we also appeal to those people who are independents. If you can vote Democratic in one election, and Republican in the next, you are probably really a Libertarian.

The Libertarian party needs a few good men, and a few good women. People who want to see the things we have lost restored, and are willing to work hard to see that that those rights we have left are not lost too. We do not want or need those people who are blown to and fro by the mainstream media, we want people who have convictions, and are willing to fight to defend them.
