Libertarian Candidates For State Offices

Libertarians to be Florida Candidates for state offices is one of our party's most urgent tasks, selecting the people who will run for our state offices. Join our party and help us select these candidates. Perhaps you could be one of our candidates. The State House District we are interested in is Dictrict 5, which includes Okaloosa, Walton, Washington, and Holmes Counties.

What kind of people do we want? Folks who have done well in their chosen profession, high caliber people with strong morals, who will put the publics interest at heart. Here in Florida we have a huge pool of qualified people, retirees from all walks of life, and career military people who have spent their lives on the front lines of the fight for freedom.

We do not want or need political retreads. There is nothing in the constitution that says you have to be a lawyer to be a Senator, or Representative. The only requirements are that you are a U.S. citizen, meet the age requirements, and swear to support the constitution of the United States. Supporting the constitution seems to be a job a lot of people can't handle these days.

Our founding fathers intended for these jobs to be filled by regular citizens who were willing to sacrifice 4 or 6 years of their life in service of their country, and then return home to their business, farm, ranch, or profession. They never visualized professional politicians.
