Defend our Home And our Way Of Life

Protect Our Home It is easy to become complacent in this beautiful place and pursue our own interests. The things that happen in our nations capital seem far away, and unrelated to our own lives here in Walton county. Over the course of our own lifetimes we have watched as our freedoms have been legislated away, one by one, by our own government. Let us all stand together and fight for what is ours. Let's restore the constitution to our government, restore the foundation laid by the founding fathers.

Many of the younger people in this country no longer value our country and our way of life as highly as we do. Our schools have been corrupted by so called "liberal" ideas. School prayer has gone, the pledge of allegiance, the ten commandments, and our children's books have been revised to show our country's history in an entirely different light. The liberty we enjoy is precious, and it is for liberty that people scale tall walls, and face extreme hardships to reach our shores.

Freedom is a priceless gift passed down by one generation to the next. We who live in this area are reminded almost daily of the price of freedom as the young men and women who live among us are rotated overseas to protect our way of life. The loss of one of them is especially tragic as they are the best and brightest of us all. Patriots who answered their country's call to defend liberty.

Let us all cherish these brave people, and the freedom they fight for. Now we too are called upon to defend liberty. We have grown accustomed to a political system that does our thinking for us. The two parties select the people who will represent us, run expensive TV advertisements, mail us glossy brochures, and call us on the phone until election day. Once the election is over we go on about our lives and leave the life and death decisions that are made every day up to those strangers we elected to represent us. To be our voice in our government. People are starting to realize that these two parties have been making decisions that put our country at risk. The Libertarian party thinks we should start paying closer attention to what they are doing.

Capitalism Yes, Socialism No

It has become obvious to all of us that our government is doing things that are not in the best interest of our country. We watch helplessly as the government imposes a financial liability on our grand children. When the citizens gathered to demonstrate their displeasure with that situation our government ignored their pleas. To compound matters the national news media portrayed the TEA party protestors as trouble makers. The citizens of this country are fed up with both the Democrat and Republican parties. They are fed up with the national news media which has abdicated it's duty to search for truth in favor of being spokesmen for the Democratic party. People are starting to look to the Libertarian party to help stop this madness.

Libertarian Party Versus Socialism, and Anarchists

Our little Libertarian party is gaining favor with the public in leaps and bounds as people realize that we stand for individual freedom, and limited government, and mean it. So the other two parties have realized this and you see people on the internet trying to link Libertarians to the Republican party, socialism, and anarchists, and all sorts of things in an attempt to discredit us by trying to hang all of those phony labels on us. Well if you want to see what we stand for, just read our platform. The platform spells out where we stand in language anyone can understand. I will tell you that there is no such thing as Libertarian socialism. Libertarian and Socialism are two terms that are mutually exclusive. They can't exist together.

Republican, Democrat, Or Independent, Join Our Party And Help Defend Liberty

It is time that we citizens exercised the constitutional rights our founding fathers so wisely gave us. It is time we elected a government that will listen to us, represent us truly and fairly, and be our agent in conduct of the nations business. We thought we were doing that, but every time we voted one of the bad apples out, we discovered his replacement came from the same barrel. The Libertarian party is the solution to that problem. The Libertarian party belongs to us, it's members, the citizens of this country. We represent no special interest groups, and need no powerful financial interests to buy TV time. All we need is the vote of you and your neighbors. Join our party and help us select the candidates who will represent us.
